Our Story
It all started at The Prairie School, Racine, Wisconsin! Monte was a senior, Emma was a freshman, and they ran cross country together. Flash forward to COVID in March 2020, Emma came back from Florida Southern College because it shut down and Monte was graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy. Monte kept reaching out to Emma to get together – they did! Monte was "in his 60-days" between graduating and going to Enid, Oklahoma, for pilot training. It was a whirlwind of 45 days before Monte moved to Enid. Emma and Monte have dated for four-and-a-half years and are so looking forward to living in the same city after they get married on July 26, 2025.
Many miles were traveled over the last four-and-a-half years with Monte living in Enid; Altus, Oklahoma; and now Mount Holly, New Jersey. Pictured above is the first 10 days of their dating, they went to Emma's family's cemetery. YUP, a photo in a cemetery.
Monte is a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at McGuire AFB in New Jersey. He flies the KC-46, the Tesla of the Air Force. Some pundits say it's not flying, it's pushing buttons.

Emma was graduated from Southeastern University, Lakeland, Florida in April 2024. She is a stroke/neuro nurse at Lakeland Regional Hospital. Emma and Monte share the value of helping and protecting people.
Emma and Monte were engaged January 1, 2023. Monte chose Emma's beautiful engagement ring by photos and FaceTimes with the jeweler in Lakeland, Florida, as he was "locked down" in Altus, Oklahoma. Emma was clueless about the engagement surprise. She loves Disney and she didn't think it was strange that her best friend, sister, and mother came with her and Monte to Disney for the weekend. The surprise was "her mom had to visit a potential client" and brought the firm's photographer and Emma still was surprised. A beautiful family engagement party was held that evening for both families.
